Adult Courses

I am currently running either 2 hour or 3 hour courses.

Full day courses will follow later.

3 Hour Course

The course begins with an introduction to the history of chocolate, and how from its origins in Aztec Mexico it came to be such a sought after commodity the world over.

I then take you through the truffle-making process

 

and let you try your hand at tempering chocolate. You will learn to hand roll the truffle centres and also to dip them in chocolate and then roll in a variety of coatings (from vermicelli to crushed caremelised nuts) to create that first `bite'.

Finally, you can choose from a variety of boxes, bags and foil wrappers to give your truffles a professional-looking finish - the perfect present for friends and family, or a secret stash for you to enjoy on your own!

You will leave with about 500 grams of truffles (40-50 individual truffles, depending on size)

2 hour course

 This course also starts with an introduction to the origins of chocolate.

I will then teach you how to temper chocolate, to create a sumptuous box of chocolates, from a range of fillings.

From a ganache that I will have prepared and piped before-hand, you can then roll, dip and coat your truffle centres in a choice of finishes.

You will also be able to make chocolate Florentines with a range of toppings.

Finally, you will package your chocolates using bags, boxes and foil wrappers.

You will leave with about 250 grams of chocolates (25-30 individual chocolates).

The above courses include complimentary wine, soft drinks and fruit.

An all-you-can-eat chocolate fountain can also be made available for an extra £3.50 per person!
